Just in time for summer, Nomos has announced two new additions to their Aqua line, the Nomos Ahoi and Club Neomatik in "Siren White.?Nomos is no stranger to lighthearted and non-traditional colorways when it comes to their dials, and these Siren White models fit right in with the Nomos lineup, and offer two new water-resistant models for the potential Nomos buyer.
Starting with the Ahoi flavor, the base specifications here are consistent with the standard Ahoi, featuring a stainless steel case at 36.3mm in diameter, height of 9.5mm, 18mm lug width, and the in-house Nomos caliber DUW 3001, which features the swing-system escapement. As with the Ahoi, the Siren White Club shares the same basic specifications with its siblings as well: a stainless steel case at 41.5mm in diameter, height of 9.7mm, 20mm lug width, and the Nomos caliber DUW 3001. Both replica watches are available exclusively on a grey textile strap. Being part of the Aqua line, both the Ahoi and Club feature 200m of water resistance.

The Siren White colorway, as Nomos calls it, introduces a white dial, with bright red numerals and hour markers, blue hands, blue numerals on the seconds sub-dial, and, on the Club, blue numerals along the chapter ring. Nomos has always used color very well, and this Siren White offering is a clear descendant of the "Siren Blue?and "Siren Red?we saw Nomos release back in 2017 for the Aqua line.
While I was not very drawn to the Siren Blue or Siren Red with their extremely bright dial colors, I actually dig the Siren White. I'm a sucker for a well-executed white dial, and Nomos did a good job of balancing the color on this, without overdoing it. As someone who rarely needs a dress watch, it's always been difficult for me to justify owning a purely dedicated dress watch, for the two or three times per year I find myself jammed into a suit; but the Aqua line from Nomos would make for a compelling option. Not only are both the Ahoi and Club conservatively styled, but thanks to their lack of a rotating bezel, they look quite svelte and understated, and I think they would work well as a daily/casual dress watch.
Further bolstering the idea as a daily casual sports fake watch for me, is the textile strap. I love textile and NATO straps, and from the photos, I think Nomos has done a good job of finding a balance between sporty and casual. This brighter colorway obviously won't be everyone's cup of tea, but fortunately, Nomos also offers both the Ahoi and Club in more conservative, traditional colorways.
Advertising MessageOverall, I think this is an interesting release from Nomos. This colorway provides a fun, summery option for someone who wants a lighthearted, easy-to-wear, daily watch. I'd personally opt for the Ahoi, however if the colorway appeals to you, I don't think you could go wrong with either model.
